Employer Benefits

How funding works.

If you are a large employer, Apprentices will be funded through your Apprenticeship Levy account.

For non-Levy paying companies, 95% of the Apprenticeship is funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

If you have 49 members of staff or less and employ a 16-18 year old, the Apprenticeship is fully funded.

And did you know… employers do not have to pay Class 1 National Insurance Contributions on all Apprentices under the age of 25!

How to reserve your funding.

Non-levy employers now have to set up an apprenticeship account and reserve the funding for their apprentice prior to sign up – when you start an apprentice with us, your account manager will provide you with a guide on how to do this. The incentive payments running until January 2022 have to be applied for by the employer. To learn more about the apprenticeship service and how to secure funds, you can access this bank of video guides.
