Whether this means taking time out to go to sports day, finishing early to get to an appointment, picking the kids up from school or working from home….as long as the job gets done with excellence then we are happy to support our staff in any way we can to achieve the balance that is right for them.
We are also a friendly bunch that enjoy staff quiz’s, team training days and get-togethers! We also encourage staff to complete qualifications and courses for personal development. With 18 staff in the business currently, many of them have worked for the business for over 10 years, which we think is a testament to Starting Off being a great place to work.
What do we do?
Starting Off was established in 1989 in Northamptonshire. We specialise in recruitment and training for apprentices. Over the last 32 years, we have worked with many local businesses and placed thousands of apprentices that have gone on to be business leaders themselves.
Alongside apprenticeships, we also offer permanent recruitment solutions and private training packages. We are currently experiencing a period of expansion where we will be working nationally – so it’s an exciting time to join us!
What are we looking for?
When we recruit staff, we are not always focused on experience but more on personality and attitude.
As a business, our core values are Support, Honesty, Ambition, Passion and Excellence. We look for all these traits when recruiting new staff members. All our staff go above and beyond without us asking them to because they are truly passionate about the business – training and nurturing apprentices and supporting clients in a professional and caring manner. We are experts at building partnerships, and we look for individuals who also have a natural ability to do so. The current roles we are looking to recruit for are focused on working with apprentices and clients on the training side to achieve their qualifications.
These roles are ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive personality, problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a range of different individuals at different levels.
